WIFE OF THE FORMER PRESIDENT, DR. GOODLUCK JONATHAN BAGS PhD

By Jenny Classic Catering

I recently watched former First Lady, now Dr. Dame Patience Jonathan, deliver an inspiring speech after receiving her honorary doctorate. It was more than a moment of celebration—it was a testament to growth, grace, and unwavering support.

I deeply commend former President Goodluck Jonathan for standing by his wife through every season, even when the world saw her flaws. Not every man has the strength or heart to support his wife when she’s imperfect in the public eye. Some walk away over superficial changes—aging, appearance, or struggle—but he chose to stand firm.

Goodluck Jonathan is the embodiment of an intentional husband. He honored her, celebrated her, and believed in her before the accolades ever came. Today, the world sees what he never stopped seeing—a woman evolving beautifully, rising from imperfection into influence and impact.

Change is the only constant in life. No one is immune to it. But in marriage, change should be embraced, not punished. We are called to complement each other’s weaknesses, not expose them. To build, not break.

True love doesn’t retreat when it sees limitations—it leans in. It grows. It transforms. And ultimately, it triumphs.

THE PROFITABILITY OF CASTOR SEED FARMING IN NIGERIA

THE PROFITABILITY OF CASTOR SEED FARMING IN NIGERIA By AJAYI ADEMOLA Introduction Agriculture remains one of the most lucrative and untapped sectors in Nigeria. The castor plant (Ricinus communis) is a drought-resistant shrub native to tropical regions. Its seeds produce castor oil—an industrial oil with diverse applications ranging from lubricants, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, textiles, to biodiesel. Despite being a leading producer of castor seed in the 1950s and 1960s, Nigeria’s castor farming has declined over the years due to poor awareness, lack of modern farming practices, and low government support. However, with rising global demand and a push for agricultural diversification, castor farming is re-emerging as a profitable venture in Nigeria. Castor Seed: Economic and Industrial Relevance A. Pope Leo XIV: Echoes of the Past, Footsteps to the Future – Continuity and the Currents of Change. By Peter Obianika The white smoke has cleared, and the bells of St. Peter's Basilica has rung out, announcing to the world the election of Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as Pope Leo XIV. The conclave, a moment of intense prayer and discernment, has concluded, and the Church now turns its gaze towards its new shepherd. A PRESIDENT, ONCE RIDICULED The Story of Goodluck Jonathan and Nigeria’s Irony of Memory

“A prophet is not without honor, except in his own town.” – Jesus Christ (Mark 6:4) There is a bitter irony playing out in Nigeria’s political consciousness—a haunting reminder of how time rewrites narratives. One of the most classic cases is that of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan , Nigeria’s 14th Head of State and 3rd democratically elected President, who governed the nation from 2010 to 2015. A man once ridiculed, insulted, and dismissed as clueless, is now being re-evaluated with nostalgia, as Nigeria reels from the consequences of leadership choices made since his departure. The Mockery: When Nigerians Said "RIP" to a Sitting President During Jonathan’s presidency, particularly from 2012 to 2015, public opinion was overwhelmingly critical. He was called “clueless” , “weak” , and “inept.” His every statement was twisted into jokes. His photos were turned into memes. He was the subject of biting satire across TV, radio, and social media. Even his academic credentials—a PhD ...
